SSB is known as AFSB (Air Force Selection Board) in case of Air Force, thus to get into the air force candidates have to clear AFSB.
Note**- Procedure of SSB and AFSB are almost the same. Both are 5 days process in which various task are held to judge candidate’s personality, psychology and physical fitness during these days.

AFSB stands for Air
Force Selection Board, the main function of AFSB is to conduct interviews for
the candidates and recommended capable and potential candidates to become an
officer in Indian Air Force. Whereas SSB stands for Service Selection Board
which conducts interviews for the candidates who want to become an officer in
the Indian navy and army.
All over India, there are 4 AFSB Centers:-
2-AFSB Mysore (Karnataka)
3-AFSB Gandhi Nagar (Gujarat)
4-AFSB Varanasi (Uttarpradesh)
1.Air Force Academy
(AFA) Hyderabad (A.P)– Permanent/Short Commission for both Male & Female
2. National Defense Academy (NDA) Khadakwasla, Pune (MH)– Permanent Commission
There are some things that candidates will need to keep in mind during the process. These are as follows: –
Medical Test: –
Candidates must note that medical test will not be done during these 5-6 days. Candidates will be given a date for it and they will have to appear at Air Force Central Medical Establishment (New Delhi) or Institute of Aerospace Medicine (Bangalore). The board is the final authority to decide your fitness.
**Candidates need to know that there is no special arrangement for the safe custody of your cash or valuables, therefore, candidates must not carry excess money or valuables with them.
**Candidates are not allowed to carry their electronic devices like mobile phones or laptops in board’s premises.
**Apart from these, candidates are expected to maintain strict discipline during the process.
